Novels, poems, and the written word

I have a few ideas for novels, but nothing set in stone. My poetry seems to flow easier, but I think that’s more or less because I’ve been writing lyrics for so long to go with previously written music that was mine (I use to be in a band lol).

I’ve always wanted to write a full length novel; something more than 150-200 pages; I’ve just never had the stamina to push past that elusive 60,000 word-count goal. But I feel the time is getting near where I might be able to succeed passed 200 pages. My writing is getting stronger, patience is there, and my will-power has come a long way too.

Anyway, just thought I would to take a moment this beautiful morning to share my thoughts on my writing behaviors.

Have a good day everyone!!!

Thanks for reading!

I love this ink pen drawing, it’s beautiful

2-for-1, two poems for you

An Arrow through Me

Love is like an arrow

straight through the heart

Its sharp blow pierces my lung,

and I can not breathe

The look in your eyes

is hard to endure

O, sweet love,

won’t you let me go?

She will never let me go (Onward Hearts)

She lets go gently as I stare at her;

She is made up of stars, and dreams; planets

really that shine brighter than a fiery ball

called the sun

I wanted another kiss; a tender peck was

everything to me; the sweet taste lingers on my lips still

A broken heart mended is a heart saved

Butterfly Hearts, a July poem

Like the butterfly,

she soars high above

A heavenly miracle,

she is the answer

You are my blessing, and a godsend; my

muse

You are the reason for

every breath and motiv

You are not only my hopes and

dreams, but the

Queen of my heart

Hearts and butterflies fluttering in sync

New editor on the scene

Hey, guys. I’m going to be trying my hand at editing; your works are important to me so allow me to dive in with you and challenge your skills.

I know it’s exciting to have an editor, and I would like to be that man, the guy that assists in making your work 100%.

Thank you for reading!

Never Give Up

Son, I know it hurts to

Grow into a man; but also know that

You are fine, and it will all be okay

I’ve witnessed things,b and I have been in your shoes; dream your dreams, and be who you

Want to be

I will never give up

On you

Take these lyrics; take my words; take my voice, And learn from them

Don’t confuse your heart; confide in God; He

Knows the truth behind your eyes

I will never give up

On you, son

Son, I know it hurts to

Show who you

Really are; but, also, see that

She has eyes to view too

I will never give up

On you

Take this song; take my lyrics; take my voice

And hold it close

Don’t confuse love with hate; confide in

Him. Fight the lies that

Reside inside of you

Dad-mode lol

A day in the life …

So, I got a job. It’s pretty cool, the thought that I won’t be home all day.

It’s hard being here 24/7, but I’m persistent and strong. I try to look at things in a brighter aspect. I try to move forward.

It’s not a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, but this new job means a lot to me. It gives me a chance to succeed in life, and that’s all I really want right now.

Thank you guys for reading my poems. The “likes” mean a lot to me.

Older photo. Good times.
